“Weruschca is someone you would welcome into your home and personal life without hesitation. She is warm and attentive, but equally understands the value of discretion and knows exactly when to be present and when to step back.”

ABOUT ME

My career has never fitted neatly into a single field. Care, health, nutrition, design, culture and the environments we live in have all played a part at different stages. At first glance, perhaps very different worlds, but looking back, I see above all how closely connected they are.

For more than fifteen years, I worked in the world of interiors and design, historic building materials and restoration, art and antiques. Later, I ran a classic French brasserie with live jazz in Amsterdam. These were worlds in which beauty, craftsmanship, food, hospitality and, above all, people continually came together.

My combined interest in aesthetics, health and our living environment subsequently led me to regenerative agriculture, ecological design and ecosystem restoration. I have now worked in this field for around fifteen years as an independent ecological designer and, since 2019, as Co-Founder of United Designers International. My work has once again taken me across borders, from private estates to much larger landscapes and complex ecological challenges.

My own life, too, has unfolded across different countries and cultures. I was born in Denmark and have lived and worked in Denmark, France, Spain and the Middle East, among other places. I am fluent in Dutch, Danish, English, French and Spanish.

All these different worlds have, above all, deepened my love of people. Their stories and identities, their cultures and traditions, and the extraordinary diversity in how we live, eat and make our homes. They have given me a natural ease across cultures, but above all taught me to observe and listen carefully before assuming I know what matters to someone.

Care and health, meanwhile, have always remained woven through my life. My interest in nutrition, the human body and what keeps us healthy has been a constant thread for many years. As a certified general caregiver with medical foundation studies, that interest now also has a formal foundation in professional care.

“Weruschca always has something to talk about. From food and travel to art, architecture and culture. She moves naturally between different people and settings, and can make something as simple as shopping together just as enjoyable as an evening out.”

“What makes Weruschca different is the breadth of her perspective. She looks not only at what someone needs at that particular moment, but also at nutrition, daily habits, their environment and the small things that can make a real difference. Always practical and never imposing.”

Wie is iemand?

Mūla (मूल) is Sanskrit for root, origin or foundation. The name has run as a common thread through my work for many years. In ecological design, it means returning to the origins of a landscape and understanding what it naturally needs to be healthy and resilient.
Every person, too, has their own constitution, history and natural balance. Good care begins with understanding and respecting that individual foundation, and recognising what someone needs to remain close to their own nature, or to find their way back to it.

The flower in the MŪLA logo is inspired by Angelica archangelica, a plant with a centuries-old history of use in both food and traditional medicine. Its root, too, has long been used.
A small botanical reference to what MŪLA stands for: origin, nature, nutrition and health are often more closely connected than we might think.
